Neymar is a laughing stock. This time not for simulation, but for his penalty
Paris Saint-Germain’s star striker Neymar did not have a successful league night. He missed a penalty, for which he is now being ridiculed.

The 25th round of the French Ligue 1 pitted home side Nantes against visiting PSG. If we compare the roster and financial capabilities of both teams, it is clear who should walk away as the winner.
Fortunately, in sport, it is not always just money that decides. Nantes had a great success, beating the Parisians 3-1.
The French footballing public is rightly reacting to the giant’s failure. It was the first time in two years that PSG scored three times in the first half. We are talking about statistics recorded across all competitions, we are not just talking about the French league.
Nantes’ 3-1 win was also the first game since November that PSG received two goals in any competition.
However, apart from the surprising result itself, the match also brought another event that is being discussed. That event is the triumphant penalty attempt by Brazilian Nemyar.
Slow run-up, wrong side where to place the shot, too little impact. All of which played into the hands of goalkeeper Lafonta. He made an easy save to keep the score at 3-1 to Nantes.
There have certainly been worse penalty kicks, but Neymar was expected to do much better.
Moreover, the Brazilian failed at an important moment when his players could have come within one goal of their opponents and maybe even turned the game around. A botched penalty thwarted that effort.
