Newcastle distances itself from Ronaldo’s alleged clause. Otherwise, we wish him all the best in his new deal, says coach Howe
Cristiano Ronaldo has a new challenge ahead of him, having signed for Al-Nassr of Saudi Arabia. But his return to Europe is not supposed to be unrealistic as he reportedly has a clause in his contract and a possible move to Newcastle United. However, the English club denies this.

The winner of five Ballon d’Ors is moving from Europe to Asia at the age of 37, specifically to Saudi Arabia, where he will defend the colours of a club called Al-Nassr. However, according to various media reports, his European mission is not to be completely over.
Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly has a clause in his contract that allows him to commit to Newcastle United if the traditional English club manages to qualify for the Champions League.
The Magpies coach Eddie Howe, who is doing a fantastic job in the north of England, briefly commented on this information before Tuesday’s game at Arsenal.
“We wish Cristiano all the best in his new adventure, but there is not a grain of truth in the speculation from our point of view,” the English strategist said in an interview with Sky Sports.
Newcastle, however, are not faring badly towards a possible Champions League qualification. It confirmed this with a quality performance against Arsenal, with whom it played a goalless draw. The forward line did not show much, but the defence did a great job.
Currently, we find the team from the city on the Tyne in a nice third position. They are nine points behind the first Gunners and only one point behind the second Manchester City, while the Citizens have two games in hand and Arsenal one.
Newcastle are also trailing fourth placed Manchester United, who have the same number of points but a game to spare after Tuesday.
