The West Ham United management has been looking for reinforcements to their defensive ranks for some time now and now the search should be over. According to the latest speculation, the Hammers are in the running for a talent from PSG! So will the signing happen?

According to the latest speculation, West Ham are considering the loan signing of French defender Abdou Diallo. Based on information from RMC Sport website, the English club’s management is reportedly seriously interested.

The Londoners are looking for reinforcements in the centre of defence and Diallo could be a great alternative. However, the Senegal representative is currently at the African Cup of Nations, so we can’t talk about any official offer yet.

However, we can expect it to come very soon. However, Mauricio Pochettino has put him on the left edge of defence, where Diallo has nevertheless excelled. The 25-year-old defender would also fit in at West Ham with his style of play.

Moreover, when it comes to engaging the midfield with wingers, Diallo is indeed a very beneficial and desirable acquisition. Various media outlets around the world are interpreting this potential transfer as hitting two targets with one arrow.

Respected journalist Fabrizio Romano also confirms West Ham’s interest and claims that there should be no serious problems in Diallo’s involvement. However, the question remains whether this will indeed be a loan deal or a permanent transfer.

But of course, the London club are not the only ones who have coveted the services of the French defender. Italian big club AC Milan have already shown serious interest last year.

Diallo transferred to PSG in 2019 from Borussia Dortmund, the transfer fee at the time was 32 million euros. He won one league title with the French club, and also enjoyed winning the French Cup twice.

He has played 72 games in the Parisian jersey so far, in which he has recorded four assists and collected seven yellow cards.
