Lohoré fired to Vemola and Oktagon
Alex Lohoré will appear in another title fight this Saturday at Oktagon 35 in Brno. First time he failed with Karlos Vémola, now he will try to defeat his rival Patrik Kinzl in another title rematch in the “Battle of Vémola”.
Recently we informed you that Lohoré has quite leaned on his conqueror and the biggest star of the Octagon, Karlos Vemola. He literally accused him of using banned substances and devalued his sporting achievements.
But he did not leave a dry thread on the organization itself. He blamed it for the lack of testing of its fighters and said that if Oktagon wants to compete with the biggest organizations on the market, it should change the above mentioned.
Now he has also taken on the negotiations with Ondrej Novotny
In the same interview, he then revealed his contract negotiations with the organization. In it, he took a shot at the organization’s charismatic promoter Ondrej Novotny, with whom he said negotiations were not at all easy.
“I’m my own manager,” Lohoré said to iSport when asked how the negotiations for his contract went and who the fighter spoke to. “I talked mainly with Ondrej Novotny, but as we got deeper in the negotiations, it didn’t go anywhere,” he revealed the details.
“He didn’t appreciate the fact that I was acting on my own,” he revealed the reasons why the negotiations initially stalled. “I want to be a manager, train my fighters and arrange fights at the same time,” he explained his motivation when he retires from wrestling.
“I’ve been doing it my whole career and I’ve never had a problem with it before, because I know my value and I can appreciate it the best,” he said about the lack of a manager. “So within the Octagon I had to bring in other partners to negotiate who didn’t really do anything,” he said.
“I told them what to tell Novotny, and they told them,” he described the details of the cooperation. “For me it doesn’t make sense, but it was the only way I could continue negotiating with Oktagon, with Ondrej it was a bit more complicated,” he added.
