Chelsea are still having trouble finding a new coach after the London club’s management sacked Graham Potter.
As a temporary option, the management chose club legend Frank Lampard, but the management is not counting on him for a very long time, moreover, his introduction to the engagement was not ideal.
The main favourite so far has been progressive German manager Julian Nagelsmann. After being replaced at Bayern by Thomas Tuchel, he is still out of a job.
But Nagelsmann knows full well that he may not accept the first offer that lands on his desk. Moreover, Chelsea is not an ideal place for coaches who prefer a long-term vision.
However, Chelsea’s management has identified its new favourite. This is Mauricio Pochettino, who is also currently without a contract. The former PSG and Tottenham manager could be an interesting choice for the currently eleventh Premier League team.
Whoever sits on the bench, he will have no easy task ahead of him at Chelsea. The club may be loaded with stars, but they don’t work together as a team yet.
They will need to impart a clear style of play to the team and also find the building blocks among the players.
