It’s a trend that is currently set. Big names such as Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kanté and Ruben Neves have moved to Saudi Arabia from Europe. And the summer transfer window has not yet fully kicked off.
However, other names are also highly likely to move to the top flight from European territory, namely three players from Chelsea in London.
Before the end of the last season, the English club announced that it was planning a major rebuilding. Getting rid of several players is therefore a logical step. The Saudi Pro League clubs are understandably taking advantage of this and are trying to get sound reinforcements for themselves.
Cristiano Ronaldo is set to be joined by Hakim Ziyech. This information, not only about the potential transfer of the Moroccan midfielder, was confirmed by well-known journalist Fabrizio Romano on his Twitter account.
It should be noted, speculations have been spreading through the football ether for quite some time, but Romano has made the mentioned highly probable transfer more concrete. Ziyech has already agreed to the transfer to Al Nassr and has also agreed on personal terms.
In addition, both clubs have also reached an agreement. If everything goes according to plan, Ziyech will sign a contract until 2026 at the championship contender.
But Ziyech is not alone…
However, two more players are set to head from Chelsea to the Saudi Arabian top flight. Romano also confirmed again on his Twitter account just a few hours ago the imminent transfer of Edouard Mendy to Al Ahli.
In this case, the two clubs have also agreed on terms, with Mendy of course also agreeing to the transfer. The contract guarantees the Chelsea goalkeeper’s stay at Al Ahli for the next three years, now it is practically only left to sign it.
The third player leaving Stamford Bridge for Saudi Arabia is Kalidou Koulibaly.
He is set to join Neves, who will join Al Hilal for a change. As in the case of Mendy, a three-year contract remains to be signed, after which an official announcement will follow.
