And not only with his catchphrases, which entertained almost the whole public, but also with his performances and beautiful goals on the pitch. He scored one memorable one in his opening game for the Los Angeles Galaxy.
It was a great day for MLS, at least in the same vein Ibrahimovic himself spoke about it. The Swedish goal-killer transferred from Manchester United to the Los Angeles Galaxy in mid-March 2018.
However, he didn’t make his league debut until March 31, when he came on as a substitute in El Trafico, a match between city rivals Los Angeles Galaxy and Los Angeles FC.
However, the home team was already trailing in the match from the fifth minute when Carlos Vela scored a beautiful goal in the fifth minute. He then scored once more in the match against LA Galaxy. In the 26th minute, he increased LA FC’s lead to 2:0 with a beautiful shot against the crossbar.
And it got even worse early in the second half when Daniel Steres scored a goal of his own. But this game was far from over.
Sebastian Lletget gave hope in the 61st minute and Chris Pontius reduced the gap to a single goal twelve minutes later. And then it was Ibrahimovic. The Swedish international came on in the 71st minute and was on the field for the second LA Galaxy goal.
He only needed six minutes on the pitch to score the equalizer. He scored the third LA Galaxy goal from 40 yards, his first MLS goal. You can watch the entire moment in the video below.

Ibrahimovic then converted a header in stoppage time in the second half to make the score 4-3 and crown his league debut.
This goal from 40 yards was then voted the best in MLS history at the end of 2020. Ibrahimovic appeared in 58 games for the Los Angeles Galaxy, scoring 53 goals and 15 assists.
At the beginning of January 2020 as a free agent, he transferred to AC Milan, where he ended his rich football career at the end of the just-past season.
