Liverpool have been struggling this season and are looking for deliverance. That could be the arrival of some big signings, but coach Jürgen Klopp is not very optimistic in that regard. But club legend Steven Gerrard is. He has even offered to fly in a rising star to persuade him.

He was supposed to be one of the title contenders, instead Liverpool are more likely to be in mid-table. Specifically, they are now 8th in the Premier League and are certain not to be involved in the title fight, but probably not the Champions League either.

The Anfield side is in a tailspin. They are struggling. And the frustration in the Reds team is often almost palpable. Of the last five competitive games, only one has been won, and that was in the FA Cup against Wolves. Otherwise, Jürgen Klopp’s charges have lost twice and drawn twice.

Liverpool have big problems in the middle of the pitch. Neither of the central midfielders is in great form. Of course, other stars are not shining either, the game is generally creaking, but maybe a new midfielder in form would help the team.

Ideally, that midfielder should be English megatalent Jude Bellingham, but he is mainly linked with Real Madrid or Chelsea, who are not exactly shining either.

The Spanish giant has the best chance, according to current information, but Borussia Dortmund is in no hurry to sell its star.

The club legend and one of the best midfielders of his generation Steven Gerrard wants to help Liverpool. He believes that Bellingham could be the man who could lift his former team.

“All he needs to do is look at his diary, give me a date when he’s free and I’ll fly to Dortmund to talk to him about a move to Liverpool,” Goal quotes Gerrard as saying.

Bellingham has played 22 competitive games for Dortmund this season alone, scoring 9 goals and adding 3 assists. He also shone at the World Cup in Qatar for the England national team, where he scored a goal and an assist in 5 duels.
