Filip Macek has been announced as the new KSW reinforcement. The thirty-one-year-old wrestler now knows the date and the opponent he will face. It will be former bantamweight champion Sebastian Przybysz, with whom he has been linked by fans of the Polish organization.
The thirty-one year old fighter last fought there at the end of last year, when he fell to Gustavo Lopez in a title fight.
As soon as promoter Ondrej Novotny announced his end in the organization on his broadcast, more information on his future began to be released.
Macek signed a contract with Poland’s KSW, which can be considered the biggest in Europe. So the wait was on for the announcement of the date and the opponent he would face.
Today it’s clear, the organization, which also showed up in Liberec this year, announced that Macek’s opponent will be Sebastian Przybysz, a Pole two years younger.
The latter is the organization’s former bantamweight champion, having lost the belt last December when he lost on points to 26-year-old Jakub Wiklacz.
Prior to that loss, his last loss came in 2018 when he fell short to Antun Racich, who was claimed by Jonas Magard. However, Przybysz defeated Racich less than three years later in a rematch.
Should Mack manage to win, he could be the next title challenger. But he certainly won’t be facing anything easy, and both will also be looking to avoid losing for the second straight time.
