Liverpool fans won’t have to worry about losing if Virgil van Dijk plays at Anfield

It’s unbelievable how one player can be the difference maker in a team. Just as Cristiano Ronaldo is now dragging Manchester United back to the top, so Liverpool fans can rely on Virgil van Dijk. What’s more, he’s even 100 per cent at Anfield Road!

The Dutch rock has played 135 games in a Reds jersey, during which he has also contributed 13 goals for his teammates. However, his main contribution is in front of his own goal, where he is the undisputed king of his territory.

Moreover, he celebrated his 100th league game in a Liverpool jersey at the weekend, having played 50 league games in front of the home fans at Anfield Road and guess how many times he left the pitch defeated? Not once!

So the 30-year-old Breda native is a real force to be reckoned with and he will once again be a key figure for Jürgen Klopp in what will no doubt be a very exciting title fight this season.

At the moment, three teams – Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United – are lined up at the top with 13 points. Of course, the other big favourite Manchester City is not far behind, who are 3 points behind the leading three after a draw with Southampton.

Next weekend, however, Liverpool can break away from their rivals when they visit Brentford, who are also experiencing a very good start to the season, as they are currently in 9th place with 8 points.
