But who will they be up against? The British media has come up with a predicted line-up that the Reds should roll out to take on their opponents at 21:00.
According to the latest reports, Jürgen Klopp has made several changes for the return leg. However, it doesn’t concern the goalmouth, twenty-five year old Irish goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher will be between the three sticks again. The German coach has chosen a 4-3-3 formation for the match against Sparta.
Conor Bradley and Konstantinos Tsimikas are expected to play on the flanks of the defence. Virgil van Dijk and Jarrell Quansah will form the midfield. Compared to the opening game, Robertson, Konaté and Gomez are out of the starting eleven.
Alexis Mac Allister and Harvey Elliott will be missing from the midfield, while 19-year-old James McConnell and 19-year-old Bobby Clark will start in their place. Wataru Endo remains in the centre of midfield.
Only Cody Gakpo remains in the attacking trio from the first game. The wing spaces will be catered for by Mohamed Salah, Liverpool’s biggest offensive weapon, and only eighteen-year-old Lewis Koumas.
