Liverpool management is planning a big transfer. A new midfielder could bolster the Reds’ midfield ranks as early as the start of the transfer window. It’s Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton!
An extremely important member of the Argentine national team is likely to move, but not too far away.
Alexis Mac Allister would stay in the Isles, as he has been more than just linked with a move to Liverpool in recent days.
He has been showing above-standard form this season and is one of the reasons why the south of England currently have ambitions to participate in the European Cup.
The midfielder is another one of the many exceptional players who have managed to give the Seagulls a proper performance. And he certainly won’t be selling cheaply as a result. Like the rest of his former teammates, Mac Allister is not a cheap commodity and Brighton can sell.
The departures of Cucurella, Ben White, Bissouma and last but not least Leandro Trossard for a total of €200 million are proof of that.
According to German site Transfermarkt, the Argentine has the highest career value to date. It is around 42 million euros and has skyrocketed especially this season.
Of course, the great performances that Mac Allister showed at the World Cup in Qatar, which Argentina eventually dominated, also contributed to the current price tag.
However, according to reports from abroad, Brighton is asking for a significantly higher price tag, namely 70 million euros! The Argentine could thus become another young potential Reds star for the future, which would be welcomed with open arms by the Anfield fans.
The failed Brazilian Arthur, the permanently medically indisposed Thiago and Keita, the slowly but surely ageing Henderson or James Milner who will leave the club after the season. That’s just a quick list of the midfield ranks of Klopp’s charges who would definitely welcome a revival.
