Like Cristiano Ronaldo in his prime! The Ukrainian talent Mudryk took the ball on the halfway line, then scored a great goal. Check out his goal
That’s what it’s supposed to look like! Mykhaylo Mudryk is undoubtedly a great football talent. It’s no coincidence that Chelsea didn’t hesitate to pay a huge sum for him. But so far, he’s looking for something in her jersey. In the Ukraine national team, his genius stands out much more. On Tuesday night, he confirmed it.
That’s what it’s supposed to look like! Mykhaylo Mudryk is undoubtedly a great football talent. It’s no coincidence that Chelsea didn’t hesitate to pay a huge sum for him. But so far, he’s looking for something in blue jersey. In the Ukraine national team his genius stands out much more. On Tuesday night, he confirmed it.
Just a year ago, he was still playing for Shakhtar Donetsk. But in January, he made a big step. He’s headed for England. Arsenal were interested in him, but Chelsea won the battle for his services, but they are struggling and, compared to the Gunners, their style of play is not quite the ideal one for a player of his type.
Moreover, Mykhaylo Mudryk arrived at Stamford Bridge for 70 million euros, because of which there is a huge pressure on him and also high expectations are placed on him. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian talent is only 22 years old and is still acclimatising.
After all, even Shakhtar’s management in England have said that the skilful winger will need a longer period of time to get used to the game, which if he gets along with confidence, will be rewarded handsomely.
However, he waited a long time for his first goal. He got it after 24 games for the Blues. Before that, you could see that he had a lot of potential, but he was expected to be much more productive.
For example, as he was at Shakhtar, for whom he played 44 games with 12 goals and 17 assists. He has also performed slightly better for the Ukraine national team, although the numbers don’t quite back it up. However, he has now scored his first national team goal and it is worth it.
Mudryk scored a great goal
Mudryk put the final nail in the coffin of Malta, who lost 3-1 to Ukraine in the EURO 2024 qualifiers. The Chelsea star took the ball almost in the middle of the pitch, got rid of one of the midfielders and, following the example of Cristiano Ronaldo in his prime, drove the ball to the middle in front of the sixteen and scored with a shot to the back post.
A wonderful moment of football followed by great joy. Rightly so. It’s beginning to look like the Ukrainian talent is starting to get comfortable and in interesting form.
Moreover, the win means that Ukraine are still fighting for direct qualification to the Euros. Three points behind first-placed England, who have a game in hand. On the other hand, they are three points ahead of Italy, who also have a game in hand.
It is Italy that Mudryk and co. will face in November. It will be a big game. Ukraine will therefore be hoping that its young gem in Chelsea will have broken into great form by then.
