The Bundesliga and its 3rd round brought the match between Hoffenheim and Leverkusen. A bit more attractive match for Czech fans because of the Czech players who jumped into this match. Patrik Schick came on in the 86th minute and Pavel Kadeřábek played the whole game.
Right from the edge of the box, Martin Terrier came through on the counter-attack, sending the ball into the net after a pass from Boniface. It was he who received a pass behind the defence from Granit Xhaka 13 minutes later and he dealt with the situation beautifully individually. In the 30th minute it was 2-0.
But Hoffenheim didn’t give up, and 7 minutes after the second goal Berisha scored after a centre from Kramaric. The home side managed to reduce the score to 1: 2 before the end of the first half and went into the cabins with a playable score from their point of view.
Leverkusen added further goals in the second half
The start of the second half did not bring us such a clear view of the game, quite the opposite. It was very even on the pitch.
In the 69th minute, a direct kick was ordered, which was subsequently reviewed by the VAR, who deemed that the tackle happened in the penalty area. Moments later, in the 72nd minute, the referee awarded a penalty to the visitors, which was converted by superstar Florian Wirtz.
Striker Boniface added the cherry with a great individual action and secured a clear victory (4: 1) for his team on the road.
