Klopp lost his patience at the press conference and turned on the journalists: Are you really serious about this question?

The Premier League fifth round duel between Wolverhampton and Liverpool will kick off at 12:30 local time, for us at 13:30 due to the time shift. And it is this time slot that the Liverpool chief executive is not looking kindly on.
It almost sounds as if there is a higher power acting on the Reds at this time. It should be noted, tomorrow’s game against Wolves will be the twelfth since Jürgen Klopp took up his post, with kick-off scheduled for 12.30pm on Saturday immediately after the return of club football from the national break.
Taking into consideration only last season, Liverpool in the matches which kicked off at the said 12:30 have lost points each time.
6. last August, they drew at Fulham 2: 2, the Reds scored a goalless draw on September 3. Then on October 22, Jürgen Klopp’s charges lost at Nottingham (0: 1).
In the new year, they drew with Chelsea at home (0:0), lost at Bournemouth (0:1) and lost to Manchester City (1:4). So it is not surprising that even Liverpool fans see something negative in this time.
At the press conference, The Athletic’s James Pearce reminded us of this theme. However, he certainly didn’t get a warm welcome from coach Klopp.
Klopp’s reaction
“Are you serious about that question? What do you mean, ‘what difference does it make when you play 30 hours ago in Bolivia?’ What do you think is the reason?” Klopp reacted angrily, referring to Alexis Mac Allister’s recent game for Argentina.
There are other South American players in Liverpool’s squad who will face a race against time to be ready for Premier League matches after representing their national teams. These include goalkeeper Alisson or Luis Diaz and Darwin Núñez…
“It’s not a problem if you have a normal week. If you have a normal week, it’s not a problem – it’s easy to adapt to that – the only problem is the lack of recovery time. Now we have four international breaks until March, after two of them we have the kick-off at 12.30pm,” explained Klopp.
In any case, Liverpool have entered the new Premier League season very well. In the first round they drew at Chelsea (0: 0), then won all three games. At the moment, they are in third place with 10 points and they will be looking to build on their great form at Wolverhampton’s stadium.
