Klopp: Inter are a great team, they don’t come here as tourists. Our lead means nothing

The first match between Liverpool and Inter Milan went as expected. Liverpool survived the home team’s chances and took home a 2: 0 result. The rematch seems to be just a formality, but Reds coach Jürgen Klopp warns against it.

“Inter are a really great team, they don’t come here as tourists. They want to attack for promotion. We’ll see how we do,” Klopp told a news conference.

“A 2-0 lead has been turned around the most times in the history of football. If you are 2-0 up at half-time and you think you are already assured of promotion, you are on the wrong track. The result of the first game was much better than I expected. It will be a really tough rematch,” added the Liverpool coach.

The duel at Anfield Road will kick off today, Tuesday at 9pm. With the away goals rule abolished, any two-goal win is enough for Inter to go into extra time.
