A thrilling match between Tottenham and Liverpool ended in a 2-2 draw, with the Merseyside club now 3 points behind leaders Manchester City. Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp did not forgive himself for his harsh comments towards the referee after the heated match.

“I have no problems with the referees, only with you,” the Liverpool manager made a rude remark about referee Paul Tierney. Moreover, the whole situation was recorded by the cameras during the post-match coverage.

The match was accompanied by several controversial moments, but by far the most controversial was Harry Kane’s tackle on Andy Robertson. Harry Kane, who scored the only goal of the game, received only a yellow card for the tackle.

If the Liverpool player had not jumped, there would have been no doubt about the red card for Kane.

“We can give Robbo a red card, it wasn’t the smartest tackle of his life, but Kane’s tackle is clearly a red card, there is no doubt about that,” Klopp stated in his post-match interview.

The aforementioned red card for Andy Robertson came moments after Tottenham’s equalising goal. The crude tackle was most likely a result of the Scot’s frustration at the goal he received.

This while the 27-year-old Scot was one of the best on the pitch until his sending off. In addition to the red card, he notched a goal and an assist.

Antonio Conte’s charges could not convert the numerical superiority into a decisive goal. However, even a draw is a great result for the current Tottenham.
