The end of the MMA year on the domestic scene will be marked by a spectacular rematch

The end of the year will see a rematch that the entire fan community on the domestic MMA scene wants to see. After Patrik Kincl defended his Octagon middleweight title in Brno in September, he faces his nemesis on December 30 at the O2 Arena.

He has lost only two of his last 16 fights. One of them was the Croatian “Robocop” Robert Soldic in the battle for the title of the Polish organization KSW. The other was Karlos Vémola in the then XFN organization.

Their first clash with each other prepared an unexpected drama. Vémola won the three-round fight on points. However, Patrik showed the heart of a warrior and prepared unpleasant moments for his rival especially in the third round.

So now we will see the dream rematch that the fan camps of both fighters are longing for. Although Kincl is currently the middleweight king, Vemola still claims the belt belongs to him.

The championship belt is still mine, Vémola believes

I’m only interested in the belt,” Vémola said in an interview with MMA World, questioning the comparison between his fight and Attila Vegh. The impact that the Fight of the Century had, he said, is unmatched.

“He’s (Patrik Kincl) the dude I beat and especially he came to the belt at a time when I didn’t drop it and at a time when I was sick,” he recalled the fact that before Kincl joined the Octagon, the belt was in his possession. “Kincl came to the belt as a substitute,” he said.

“So the belt is still mine, I’m convinced of it and I hope my fans are too and those who don’t believe it, I’ll go and prove it at the O2 Arena and take it back,” he believes in his abilities. And will we see the judges’ scoring decisions again?

“We are both good athletes, we know each other for a long time and we know what to expect from each other, it will be a very tactical fight,” said the welterweight champion. “From Kinceloe it will be waiting for my mistake, it will never be that he will dominate the fight, he knows that very well,” he predicts the course of the fight.

“I will dictate the pace of the fight and he will be waiting for the mistake that I must not make and it may happen that he will wait for 25 minutes,” he added. The fight is scheduled for five rounds this time, will that affect the rematch?
