Jürgen Klopp and his proverbial seventh season is here, and it can be said that he is replicating to the letter the previous two engagements at Mainz and Borussia Dortmund. This time, however, the German coach dismisses any speculation about his departure and prepares everyone for big summer changes!

Sometimes you have to take one step back in order to take two steps forward, and that is exactly what Liverpool will have to do if they are to bounce back up and fight for the top spot with the best, as they have done in previous seasons.

This is exactly what Klopp is aware of! “We will make many changes in the summer. We know we need it, we need to do something this summer,” the charismatic German coach told Sky Sports.

The big twist

Just last spring, Liverpool were considered one of the best teams in the world. They had won the FA Cup and the EFL Cup, were in the Champions League final and were also fighting for the Premier League title.

It was on the verge of a unique quadruple, but failed to win either of the valuable trophies. Manchester City dominated the English league, while Real Madrid lifted the trophy.

Moreover, in the summer Sadio Mané left for Bayern Munich and thus slowly began Liverpool’s downfall. The Reds started to lose a lot in the autumn, they got beaten in the Champions League by Napoli, finished second in the group and now it looks like they will be beaten again by the White Ballet after a 2:5 defeat at Anfield.

The continuation of Klopp at Liverpool

However, Klopp is definitely not going to back down this time, on the contrary, he is going to fight hard! “I’m in exactly the place I want to be,” he says, aware of the fact that being the Reds’ coach is an exceptional opportunity.

However, there has been speculation for some time about the German coach leaving for Real Madrid, where he could replace Carlo Ancelotti at the end of this season. Likewise, there is already speculation about his successors at Anfield.

Everything will surely depend on the next results, as Liverpool have climbed to 8th place after two wins, with 4. Tottenham are 7 points behind, while having two games to spare.

All Reds fans believe that Klopp’s bunch will manage to push for the coveted 4th league place so that they can hear the Champions League anthem at Anfield again next season. Then over the summer, the announced changes will probably take place and maybe then we will see good old Liverpool fighting for the top rungs on all fronts again.

They can confirm those ambitions as soon as Saturday night when the Reds face Crystal Palace.
