Jankto made his Getafe debut, his team fell in the last minute to Sevilla

For Jakub Jankt, the last week has been very fast-paced. First there was information about his transfer to Getafe, on Friday everything was official. Jankto impressed the fans with his great Spanish and immediately joined the training with the team.

He was also included in the nomination for Monday’s match against Sevilla, after a goalless first half his moment came. Jankto replaced long-time Atletico Madrid and Sevilla player Vitolo, so he had 45 minutes to change the score.

In the second half, Ivan Rakitic and Erik Lamela came on in the white away jersey, which proved to be crucial. The Argentine reinforcement from Tottenham pulled off the winner in the 93rd minute, and it was Lamela’s third goal in two games.

It was Getafe’s second defeat in the competition, having lost to Valencia in the first round. Next weekend, Getafe will face one of the toughest tests of the season as they will face Barcelona at the Camp Nou on Saturday.
