Tottenham will be playing in the Champions League next season, so it’s definitely time for them to strengthen their squad again. They will need to expand their attack in particular, where the skilful Brazilian Richarlison, who has been making a strong case for a transfer from Everton, could head.
Richarlison has been proving his great qualities for a long time now as he has been improving season by season. He was clearly Everton’s best player last season, scoring 11 goals in 33 games for them and assisting another 5.
However, the Brazilian striker would probably forget about the whole season as quickly as possible for the first time since his arrival in Liverpool (Watford – Everton 2018 – €39 million) as he fought with his teammates until the last moment to save the Premier League.
Moreover, it’s no secret that Richarlison wants to move up a level. And we certainly can’t be surprised. Everton may have a good team, but most of their players have been performing below average on the pitch for a long time.
The coaches are not to be spoken of in a positive sense and it is questionable whether Frank Lampard will finally get his new team where they belong, at least in the top ten.
At 25 years old, the Brazilian striker, who has virtually no major weakness and can play almost anywhere in attack, is definitely ready for a top club. And by all accounts, Tottenham are the biggest suitors for his services.
Antonio Conte has won the Champions League again for Spurs fans and would like to strengthen the team especially in attack, where he doesn’t have too many quality alternatives with the injury of one of his key players.
This would add a fourth great striker to the trio of Heung-min Son, Dejan Kulusevski and Harry Kane, who also definitely has the tools to settle permanently in the starting line-up.
But everything is still in the preparation phase now. According to Goal, a meeting between Tottenham’s management and the player’s agent is yet to take place to discuss possible transfer terms.
