At the end of this summer transfer window, it looks like an interesting deal between Inter Milan and Olympique Marseille. According to Italian media reports, Alexis Sánchez will return to the San Siro, while Joaquín Correa, who failed to convince in Milan, will reportedly head in the opposite direction.
Alexis Sánchez transferred to Inter Milan at the beginning of September 2020 and spent three seasons at the San Siro. During that time, he played 109 games in the black and blue jersey, in which he recorded a record of 20 goals and 23 assists.
With Inter, he dominated Serie A in the 2020/21 season and won the Coppa Italia in the 2021/22 season. Last August, he then moved to France as a free agent, where his services were selected by Olympique Marseille.
It must be said, the Stade Vélodrome shone. He appeared in 44 competitive matches, scoring 18 goals and assisting three more.
He was one of the important men who led Marseille to finish third in the Ligue 1 table last season.
However, after the end of the season, he became a free agent again. According to Sky Sport Italia, however, he is set to return to Inter. However, he will reportedly undergo a medical once Joaquín Correa moves to the Stade Vélodrome.
The twenty-nine-year-old Argentine striker did not impress at the San Siro as expected. Better said – he didn’t convince the Milanese big club that it was worth paying Lazio nearly €30 million for him last summer.
Italian trusted journalist Gianluca Di Marzio describes Correa’s move so far as a guest appearance, for two million euros with an option to buy for around 13 million.
Correa has pitched in 77 competitive matches in an Inter jersey, in which he has scored only ten goals from the striker position, assisting on another five.
