I hate modern football, admits Liverpool star. Why?

Thiago Alcantara is now a Liverpool player, where he hasn’t been able to make it as he wanted. However, he was one of the key players at Bayern before that and showed fantastic technique with a great football mindset. He has now admitted that he hates modern football. Why?
Thiago Alcantara spoke to the UK’s Guardian about his hatred of modern football. What bothers him so much? Not a few.
According to the Spanish technician, competition is disappearing from football, he also criticised the five substitutions or VAR. But it should be mentioned that Thiago has been criticising VAR since its inception.
“We make mistakes when we play. The referees must also make mistakes. VAR destroys the essence of football. Every time you score a goal, even from the middle of the pitch, you have to wait and hope that there hasn’t been a foul or an offside somewhere,” the Liverpool star is clear.
Alcantara believes that football is losing its magic and that players cannot use their imagination as much due to the game becoming increasingly faster and more physically intense.
“The net-ten position has almost disappeared. We see fewer fancy tricks, less creativity. Those of us who aren’t as quick have to be quicker in our heads. It’s like in life. You have to adapt. Football is always changing,” added Thiago.
In a nutshell, according to Alcantara, football is becoming a sort of robotic sport, tactically hugely bound and not everyone may like it.
