Human stupidity knows no bounds. Verona fans urged Putin to bomb Naples
Even rivalry should have its limits, but human stupidity does not. A great example of this would be the actions of the hard core of Hellas Verona supporters, who have proved on more than one occasion in the past that they are no saints.

For the last two weeks, at least, the whole of Europe has been dealing mainly with the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Russian aggression is manifesting itself in all sectors and areas, not excluding football. Individual clubs and leagues are taking the side of Ukraine.
Football fans are also relatively united in this regard, although many might expect them to side with Vladimir Putin. Anyway, unfortunately, that is exactly what some fans are.
The Russian invasion was used to demonstrate their intelligence by the supporters of the Italian team Hellas Verona, who welcomed Napoli on Sunday. They placed a banner outside the stadium calling for the bombing of Naples.
Even if it was just an attempt at a joke or any kind of exaggeration, it certainly did not succeed. Nor can it be taken that way.
Moreover, this is not the first time that ultras supporting Hellas have shown themselves to be supporters of extremism. There has already been a Nazi flag with a swastika on display in their stadium, and there have been no shortage of racist incidents either.
In 2014, fans of the Verona outfit were named the most racist in Italy by The Hard Tackle magazine. Three years ago, the club banned the leader of the ultras from entering the stadium until 2030 because of racist insults against Mario Balotelli.
