Hložek on his way out of Leverkusen? The reason is low playing load
Adam Hložek’s workload in recent weeks is minimal. The Czech Republic’s representative is almost exclusively on the pitch only at the end of the second half. Will he go on loan in the winter?
Adam Hložek’s workload in recent weeks is minimal. The Czech Republic’s representative is almost exclusively on the pitch only at the end of the second half. Will he go on loan in the winter?
Adam Hložek strengthened Bayer Leverkusen’s offensive line in the summer of 2022. At the time, the Leteners received thirteen million euros for him, which is almost 320 million in crown currency.
One of the greatest current talents in Czech football has quickly established himself in his new surroundings. During his first season in the Bundesliga, he played in 29 games and contributed to eight goals.
Leverkusen finished the season in sixth place, which secured their participation in the Europa League group stage. Hložek already had experience of the latter from his time at Sparta.
However, after the summer arrivals of Telly and Hofmann, the 21-year-old winger has been given space on the pitch very sporadically.
In the current season, he has played in six league games, but only 36 minutes in total. He made one start each in the cup and the aforementioned Europa League.
It is therefore questionable whether the Ivančice native will change his employer anytime soon. According to the inFotbal website, a winter exit is in the cards. Apparently, it would be a six-month loan deal.
However, it would be for a team playing in the Bundesliga, so that he could adapt more to German football. However, it can be expected that one of the teams playing in the lower levels of the table would probably agree to a six-month loan.
