The transfer of the Slovakian stopper to the Dutch Eredivisie is still a dream come true for David Hanck. This is how the player held Feyenoord in the match against Excelsior with a brilliant defensive save almost from the goal line!
Slovakian international Dávid Hancko has spent a significant part of his career in the jersey of Sparta Prague. Already in the red jersey he was one of the above-standard players, which was only confirmed by his move to Rotterdam.
He has only shone in a Feyenoord jersey since 2022. So it’s no wonder that the player’s market value is currently around €20 million.
Since his time in Czech football, Hanck’s price tag is thus more than 4 times higher. He confirmed his potential and quality form in the 31st round of the Eredivisie.
Feyenoord faced Excelsior at home and it was not only thanks to Slovák that the guests scored 3 points and kept a clean sheet. The final score was 2: 0.
Goalkeeper Bijlow could thank the former Sparta captain for the clean sheet. He made a great defensive save in the 80th minute.
The home side’s corner kick was headed towards goal by stopper el Yaakoubi and Hancko was in the right place at the right time. He cleared the ball almost off the line with a great save.
Feyenoord are currently leading the league with 76 points so far and have a considerable lead over second-placed Ajax Amsterdam with 8 points.
Although Hancko has only been in Rotterdam for a season, there is already speculation about his next possible move, and higher up.
