FIFA in reality? Nkunku outwitted the Dortmund defence with two Zidane shots, the spectacular goal was prevented by the bar. What did the action look like?
RB Leipzig are not experiencing a dream first half of the season under their new coach. But if there is one positive in Jesse Marsch’s team, it is Christopher Nkunku and his stellar performances. He was also excellent against Dortmund. See for yourself.

Leipzig got a very important three points at the weekend. They managed to beat Dortmund 2-1 and perhaps this win could give the team confidence and be a stepping stone to better form.
However, it is questionable how much better the French engineer’s form could be. Christopher Nkunku came to Leipzig in the summer of 2019 from PSG as a big talent with huge potential. He has fulfilled that to an excellent degree so far, but this season? This one has been exceptional in his performance.
Nkunku scores goals, passes them on, entertains the fans with his technical skills and is simply a player people come to watch. He has played 17 games this season, scoring 11 goals and adding 7 assists.
He also made a significant contribution to the statistics against Borussia Dortmund. He scored Leipzig’s first goal and assisted the second, which was the winning goal. In addition, he could have scored a spectacular goal.
At the turn of the 63rd and 64th minute, he got the ball in the opponent’s hexagonal box, and with two Zidane’s he managed to get a fantastic release and got the finish. However, his shot was stopped by the goal structure.
Borussia Dortmund also commented on the Leipzig star’s fantastic feat on their Twitter account. The latter compared the action to a FIFA video game, where situations like this, where a player makes a great release and then unfortunately fails to finish the beautiful action with a goal, are not uncommon.
