He’s still only 22 years old. But he’s still being talked about. According to some, Bukayo Saka is not showing his full potential in the current season. But he’s breaking records again. And how is he better than Cristiano Ronaldo? He has scored more goals in his opening 210 games at club level.

Bukayo Saka better than Cristiano Ronaldo?
Arsenal totally demolished West Ham’s defence in the last league round, gifting them six goals. Saka went straight into the stats of the match as a double goalscorer. Thanks to these goals, he got ahead of the still playing legend Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Sky Sports station compared the English star with the five-time Ballon d’Or winner. While the Portuguese scored 50 goals and assisted 43 more during his opening 210 games on the club scene, Saka scored 51 accurate shots to which he added 49 assists.
In sum, the current Arsenal London mainstay has contributed to 100 goals, seven more than Ronaldo had, after the same number of games.
Another statistic adds even more credit to Sako. If we compare him with Markus Rashford, Leroy Sane or Mohamed Salah at 22 years and 159 days, Saka again comes out as the winner. So far he has collected 77 points (goals + assists) on league turf. He is 15 goals ahead of second-placed Rashford.
People are still doubting him
At 46, Saka also became the youngest Arsenal player to score 50 goals in an Arsenal jersey. Despite all this, there are still people who doubt him. “Bukayo Saka is not yet a world class player. He hasn’t shown much on the European stage yet,” the former Rio Ferdinand defender told TNT Sports.
Meanwhile, Saka has a record of 3 goals and 4 assists in his opening season in the Champions League after the group stage. No other player has accounted for more goals than him in the current season.
The talented English winger is flourishing every season. In 2023/24 he contributed to 25 goals, which is only one less than the entire last season, which was the most productive of his career so far. This fact is illustrated by another statistic.
Saka position on the field has evolved
In the current edition, he can average 2.8 scoring chances per 90 minutes, which is 0.7 more than he had last season. “The position he is in at his age and the consistency he has just don’t go in the same line,” Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta said.
Meanwhile, during the Spanish coach’s early days on the Gunners bench, Saka also featured on the left side of defence. “It took me a while to figure out where his right place was on the pitch,” Arteta continued.
