Dallas Stars forward Radek Faksa returned to the ice after missing four games and immediately decided Game 7 of the series against Vegas. The Vegas Golden Knights’ elimination means the season is over for Tomas Hertl, who could travel to Prague.

Dallas takes advantage of its home environment to advance

The Dallas Stars vs. Vegas Golden Knights (2: 1) was decided in the 1st minute of the third period by Radek Faksa. He jumped into this very tight series after a 4-game absence due to injury and scored his first goal in this year’s playoffs.

Overall, it was his 9th goal in 74th playoff game. But definitely his most important one. The Texas club didn’t start the series with the defending Stanley Cup champions very well. After two home defeats in the series opener, the club was in bad shape.

But the team rebounded and turned the series around with a three-game winning streak. However, in the 6th game of the series, the Stars’ excellent catcher Adin Hill erased all scorers and the game went to the 7th game.

Vegas once again relied on Hill and Dallas’ Jake Oettinger was guarding the net. Stras took the lead in the 15th minute of the game with Wyatt Johnston, who is one of the best players on his team in this year’s playoffs. Brett Howden then put the home side back in the game in the 36th minute.

At the start of the third period, it was the turn of Czech defensive forward Radek Faksa. He always does a tremendous amount of black work on the ice. In the 44th second, he outplayed Hill for the second time in the game and put his team in the lead after working with Smith and Harley.

The score didn’t change for the rest of the game, and that means the season is over for the Vegas Golden Knights. The season also ended for Czech forward Tomas Hertl.

However, his arrival at the World Championship is almost out of the question. He underwent surgery before the trade from San Jose to Vegas and his employer will certainly not release him after the medical examination.

Vegas coach Bruce Cassidy said immediately after the elimination. Sometimes we get to their game and they do too.

I don’t think either team can sit back and say they dominated the series or were really the best all the time. I thought Game 6 (a 2:0 win) was our best game, and I would have hoped that would have come through today, but it didn’t happen.”

The Dallas Stars will face a really tough caliber team in the Western Conference Semifinals in the Colorado Avalanche. The Stars, who blew out the Winnipeg Jets in Game 5 of the opening series, have scored at least 5 goals in every game against the Avalanche.
