Antonio Conte is a coach many players would lay down their lives for. He can transfer his passion for the game to his charges, and the last match between Tottenham and Chelsea was very heated.

The Italian coach’s drill is starting to work. Tottenham swept Southampton 4-1 in the first round, in the second round they earned a last minute draw with Chelsea 2-2.

At the end of the game there was a showdown between Conte and Tuchel, both of whom were full of emotion. They got into an argument during the match, for which they saw a yellow card, so after the final whistle they got a second one and were sent off.

Conte is great at transferring his passion for the game to his players, who are willing to do the impossible for the result.

“We’re used to his passion for the game, ” Tottenham defender Ben Davies told Goal.

“His achievements speak for themselves, he is one of the best coaches in the world. But as a person and as a guy on your bench, you are able to run through a brick wall for him,” Davies described how much Conte breathes for his team and the players for him.

“He’s incredibly motivated, he’s very clear about what he wants from his team. He is very passionate. When he speaks, you can’t help but sit and listen,” the Welsh footballer admires his coach.

Spurs returned to the Top 4 last season and will play in the Champions League. They will fight for it this year and if Liverpool continue to lose, Tottenham may well join Manchester City’s chasers.
