David Zima flashed his excellent Italian and helped Torino to victory
David Zima has only been at Torino FC for less than 5 months. The 21-year-old defender has shown that if he wants to, he can learn the language very quickly. Zima’s Italian is at such a level that he has managed almost an entire conversation in it. Keep up the good work!

At the end of the club TV interview, he probably got a compliment from the presenter (for his Italian). His perfect speech was immediately noticed by Czech fans, who of course praise Zima very much.
“He speaks better than me after a year and a half of learning, ” one commenter joked on Twitter.
“Winning mentality. It’s great that the boys are learning this with us,” wrote a Slavic fan, referring to David Zima’s previous stint.
In case you were wondering about the Czech stopper’s interview itself, with the headline “We are happy. We’ ll focus on getting three points in the next game,” you can watch it here.
As for the match against Sampdoria itself, Torino FC had to turn the score around. The Genoa side took the lead in the 18th minute. The visitors equalised 9 minutes later, and the half ended 1-1. Torino FC turned the game around in the 67th minute, Dennis Praet scored.
The prestigious WhoScored server gave Zim a rating of 6.84. The young stopper had 61 touches of the ball during the match, won 4 header duels and made 3 key passes (the highest number of any player on the pitch).
David Zima’s passing success rate was 84%. In terms of defensive activity, the national defender intercepted one pass from the opponent and twice kicked the ball out of the danger area (for Torino FC).
Let’s hope that the promising national team stopper will be able to make more wins and moves before the 2022 World Cup barrage in March. Any player seasoned by TOP League will be useful against the Swedes and in a possible barrage final against the Poles/Russians.
