Cristiano Ronaldo says he has had one of the best seasons of his career: I’m proud to have broken the Saudi Arabian league record
Cristiano Ronaldo has had a very successful season individually. At least in terms of numbers. He’s been scoring goals, passing them on. But he didn’t reach for the trophy in Saudi Arabia. He’ll even appear in Germany at the European Championships. How does he rate another year at Al Nassr?

The European Football Championship is slowly approaching and one of the best footballers in history is looking forward to it. Even at 39 years old, Cristiano Ronaldo, who has had a successful season in Saudi Arabia, will not be missing out.
His Al Nassr may not have come for any trophy again, but he is happy with his performances and especially his numbers. Although the Saudi Arabian league cannot compare with the best competitions in the world, the Real Madrid and Manchester United legend does not spare any praise.
In 45 competitive matches, Cristiano Ronaldo has scored a solid 44 goals, adding 13 assists as well. However, more often than his goals, his behaviour has been discussed, when he almost attacked the referee or asked for trouble with an obscene gesture.
Besides, when the Portuguese wasn’t scoring goals, the stats servers that award marks for match performances didn’t mess with him much. By all accounts, without scoring goals, he wouldn’t have made such a contribution to his team.
Cristiano Ronaldo is said to have had one of his best seasons
“Being the league’s top scorer means a lot to me. I’m really happy. It’s probably one of the best seasons I’ve had in my career. At least in terms of goals and assists. To be honest, it means a lot to me, it’s my job. But honestly, it’s not something I focused on at the beginning of the season. But with time I started to realise that it was possible,” Goal quotes the Portuguese ace.
“I have the opportunity to thank my teammates. Without the team, I wouldn’t have achieved anything as an individual. I feel very proud to have broken the Saudi Arabian league record. It’s spectacular for me. I feel happy. This is my motivation to play football and train,” Cristiano Ronaldo added.
