Cristiano Ronaldo is without a coach after Al-Nassr recalled Rudi Garcia. Zinedine Zidane has now been linked with the leadership of the team
The club’s management has decided to terminate the cooperation with coach Rudi Garcia, who is leaving Al-Nassr with immediate effect. This position is now associated with some very big names.
Al-Nassr has become one of the most watched clubs in the world and this is of course thanks to the arrival of the legendary Cristiano Ronaldo.
With the huge attention comes, of course, huge expectations and, above all, huge pressure on the whole club, the coach and the management. Thus, Ronaldo’s less famous teammates are experiencing something they have never experienced before.
It is this pressure that is quite possibly influencing the fact that the whole team is not performing on the pitch as expected of their players.
After the arrival of the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, Al-Nassr lost the Super Cup, having already crashed out in the semi-finals, and also lost their top position in the league table, where they were leapfrogged by Al-Ittihad.
The league in Saudi Arabia is played over thirty rounds. The players around Ronaldo are now three points behind and have seven games left in the league.
The club’s management has decided to respond by recalling the coach. Rudi Garcia has been removed from his position with immediate effect and it is perhaps not surprising that the media has come forward with information regarding Ronaldo’s possible involvement.
The latter immediately disappeared in a huff into the booth after the last game, which Al-Nassr drew 0-0 on Al-Feiha soil. Ronaldo was reportedly not happy with the coach’s tactical instructions.
Possible replacements
Aside from being one of the most watched clubs now, Al-Nassr is certainly the most watched non-European club in the world. Sound and famous names will definitely be a priority for the team management.
According to CBS Sports, the number one priority is French coach Zinedine Zidane, who is still without a commitment since his stint at Real Madrid. It was in Madrid that both he and Ronaldo experienced huge success together and their next reunion would be very interesting to watch.
Other coaches who have been linked with the team are said to be Jose Mourinho, Jorge Jesus and Marcelo Gallardo.
