Will Joshua Kimmich leave Bayern? The long-time mainstay of the Bavarian big club has a dispute with coach Thomas Tuchel, according to German media. The biggest problem is said to be the loss of his role as a boss on the pitch and huge frustration.

We previously reported on the possible departure of Alphonso Davies from Bayern Munich. In fact, the Bavarian giant does not intend to give in to its player’s demands for a new contract and it is therefore likely that the Canadian flanker will leave.

Barcelona and Real Madrid are said to be interested, but his potential move from the Allianz Arena elsewhere is still in the realm of speculation.

However, it is possible that Bayern will soon lose another player. Indeed, Joshua Kimmich, who has a sporting relationship with coach Thomas Tuchel, is considering leaving, according to reports in German magazine Bild.

The main problem is that Kimmich, especially under former Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann, was his extended arm. If Nagelsmann coached on the bench, it was clearly Kimmich on the pitch during the game.

But he lost that role long ago under Tuchel, and there is a crack in the trust between the two sides. The 29-year-old defensive midfielder is also reportedly very frustrated.

Kimmich on his way out of Bayern?

Kimmich has a contract at the German big club until the end of June 2025. However, he is currently considering breaking it and leaving Bayern early.

The last straw was the game against Leverkusen, which Kimmich was ready to start. Needless to say, he was returning from a shoulder injury, but he has been working steadily to get back into the lineup as quickly as possible. However, coach Tuchel benched him for the most important game of the season, putting Goretzka and Pavlovic on the bench instead.

Even then, Kimmich’s frustration was mounting, but according to Bild, it was only after the Bochum game that he got into an argument with Tuchel’s assistant Zsolt Löw. In fact, the long-time Bayern mainstay made a mistake which led to the score being levelled.

I know what happened. It’s not for the public. It stays in the cabin, that’s where the emotions are,” Tuchel told reporters after the game.

Kimmich’s market value is 75 million euros, according to Transfermarkt. He has been at Bayern since 2015, when he transferred from Stuttgart for just 8.5 million euros. Since then, he has played 373 competitive games there with a record of 41 goals and 100 assists. He has won eight league titles for the Munich giants.
