A good portion of the European Conference League qualification matches took place on Thursday. It is the promotion or non-advancement in this competition that plays a key role in the final coefficient of each country.

Not too pleased with the performance of the Norwegians. Bodo Glimt also beat Pjunik Yerevan in the rematch and advanced to the Conference playoffs, and Brann surprisingly beat Arouca from Portugal. The only positive is the end of Trondheim’s tie with Scottish Hearts.

Norwegian colleagues from the server – the Danes – also did well. Midtjylland beat Omonia Nicosia in the rematch, Nordsjaelland surprisingly eliminated the Romanian FCSB.

Switzerland is left with only three of the five irons in the fire, but all of them have a certain group. This time, Lucerne, who drew 2-2 with Scottish Hibernians after an away loss, are out of the cups.

The Turks, on the other hand, have all four teams left in the competition. Fenerbahce and Besiktas Istanbul even won their first and return matches, while Adana Demirspor fell in Osijek, but they are still in the competition thanks to their home advantage.

In Israel, they’re only halfway through. Hapoel Be’er Sheva lost in the sixth minute of extra time to Levski Sofia, while Maccabi Tel Aviv advanced past Larnaca in Cyprus with an 86th minute penalty.

Moreover, even Larnaca’s elimination against Omonia Nicosia is pleasing, with APOEL Nicosia being the only Cypriot advancing in the Conference League, and they also beat Georgia’s Dila Gori in the rematch. Aris Limassol will still be in the Europa League play-offs.

In Greece, they are only partially celebrating. Panathinaikos is in the Champions League playoffs, AEK Athens doesn’t know yet, there is still a rematch to come. Aris Thessaloniki finished on penalties with Dynamo Kiev, city rival PAOK advanced via Hajduk Split.
