Coach didn’t believe in him. but Dolberg got his team to the quarterfinals. Check out the Danish hero’s two goals

Kasper Dolberg is not having a great season. The great talent is slowly but surely turning into an average player who can only dream about the big clubs. However, in the eighth round of the European Championship, he got the opportunity to play in the starting line-up thanks to several events and got the Danes to the quarter-finals with two goals.
Dolberg was scouted as a young footballer by Ajax, who brought him into their academy in the summer of 2015. The Danish striker eventually managed to fight his way into the A-team, where he was bought out by Nice for €20 million after a successful 2018/19 season.
In his first season in Ligue 1, Kasper scored 11 goals in 23 games, but in this season he has only scored 6 times, with two more league games.
Nice, however, did not have a good season, finishing in 9th place. They finished 6 points behind 6th place Rennes. A big change from the previous season, in which Dolberg and co. finished 5th.
It is therefore no wonder that coach Kasper Hjulmand relied on other players who have had a much more successful season. It’s just that Denmark have had quite a few problems at the tournament and a number of players have been unable to start for various reasons. That’s why the 23-year-old forward was given a chance in the starting line-up.
And it was more than a good move! Dolberg is very familiar with the Amsterdam Arena and perhaps this ‘home’ environment helped him to score twice against Wales.
