Chelsea hit the jackpot with this player! England are arranging a work permit for the young Brazilian
During January, Chelsea brought in 8 new players. It was also necessary, because the six-time champion of England is only in 9th place after half of the season. Enzo Fernandez or Mykhaylo Mudryk are undoubtedly the most notable signings, but one name is often overlooked.

Andrey Santos, a central midfielder who can also play in a more defensive position. Chelsea introduced him as one of the first signings of January, when he arrived from Brazilian Vasco De Gama for just under €13 million.
Chelsea definitely needed reinforcements in midfield, but Santos was a big unknown to most fans in England. The 18-year-old Brazilian played with his local Serie B team and was loved by his club’s fans.
Not to mention, he helped them score 8 goals in the league. His teammates even jokingly tied him up in training before he left the club so he wouldn’t leave. But that’s what happened and Santos signed a contract in London until 2030.
He hasn’t joined the Chelsea squad yet, however, as he has travelled with the Brazilian U20 squad to the Copa América. He fills the role of captain in the team and has only missed one game for rest.
He led his team to the final group and if he wins both remaining matches, he will become the winner of the championship. He has scored 5 goals in six matches, from the position of a box-to-box midfielder. He is helping his team in every way.
He has impressed the Chelsea management with these performances and the club wants him to join the first team as soon as possible. However, to make him available for the current season, the club is working on arranging a work permit.
With the departure of Jorginho, the frequent health problems of Kante, Zakaria and Kovacic and also the miserable form of Mason Mount, he might get a bigger opportunity. Maybe in a two-man midfield with another new signing, Enzo Fernandez.
