Since 2006, the Czech Republic has not attended a World Cup. It will be no different in 2022, as our national team failed to beat the strong Swedes in the barrage, losing 0:1. However, Canadian fan favourite Alphonso Davies experienced completely different emotions than the Czech national team.

Alphonso Davies is only 21 years old and he is a youngster at Bayern Munich. He transferred to Germany in January 2019 as an 18-year-old talent. He has charmed the Bundesliga and football Europe with his incredible speed, and he has also gained huge popularity among the young generation on social media.

With his humour and positivity, he managed to charge millions of followers. The Ghanaian-born player, who grew up in Canada from a young age, is also well known for his relationship with a Canadian footballer who plays for PSG (Jordyn Huitema).

Anyway, in the recent past, Davies has also had some unpleasant health problems. First, he was hampered in his start by covid, then after he got out of it, Bayern doctors found him with inflammation of the heart muscles.

This means a three-month suspension for the fast-footed winger. Therefore, of course, he couldn’t even perform his national team duties for Canada, but he did watch the game.

Yesterday, the Canadian national team could secure direct qualification for the 2022 World Cup if they beat Jamaica on home soil in Toronto. That’s what happened, Canada didn’t mess with The Reggae Boyz (the nickname of the Jamaican national football team) and won convincingly 4-0.

This means that this North American country will play in the World Cup for the first time in 36 years. The aforementioned Alphonso Davies could not bear the weight of emotions on his stream after the final whistle. See for yourself what this means for Davies!
