Captain of the Czech national team in the crosshairs of world giants! But does he have what it takes to move up even higher?
Just the fact that he is playing in the English Premier League is a great achievement. But the captain of the Czech national team may be thinking about a move to an even bigger club. But the question is, should he?

Tomáš Souček is having a great season. After his stint at West Ham United, he is now back in form and with his teammate Vladimir Coufal, he is pulling the London team along.
His form has not escaped even the more famous teams. Two famous giants from the Italian Serie A are interested in him. Who are we talking about? Juventus Turin and Inter Milan.
Juventus are dealing with a midfield problem after Paul Pogba faces doping charges and Nicolo Fagioli is involved in a betting and gambling scandal for a change. So the Bianconeri will be looking for someone in midfield.
A central midfielder would also be a good fit for Inter, whose summer purchase of Davy Klassen from Ajax Amsterdam hasn’t quite lived up to expectations so far. In addition, the perpetually injured Stefano Sensi is not to be relied upon either.
This could mean that Juventus or Inter will be strengthened by Soucek. The question is whether he would be up to it. He is 28 years old, he hasn’t played in Italy, which is very specific for players, and it’s hard to say how he would adapt to a different Serie A after the Premier League.
However, he got used to England quickly after his transfer from Slavia. At West Ham last season, for example, he wasn’t as much of a mainstay as before, but that has changed quickly recently.
He is a constant in the national team and a favourite of coach Jaroslav Šilhavy, he plays every game and doesn’t want to miss a minute. Juventus and Inter could use a hard worker like that.
However, it has to be said that technically Soucek is not that good compared to Juventus aces like Rabiot, Locatelli or the aforementioned Pogba, or Inter stars Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan and Barella.
Soucek simply has his reserves, but he makes up for them with his combativeness, running and iron will. He is not a great playmaker, but a tireless worker in the midfield.
It’s probably not entirely to be expected that Juventus would pull through as a mainstay against Inter, but the former Slavic or Liberec midfielder would certainly not be a disgrace, let’s face it. We can only wish him a commitment in Serie A.
