Bundesliga strikers on a tear or 3 in form scorers we could see in the Top Club next year
In the current Bundesliga season, several goal scorers are doing exceptionally well. The trio of Victor Boniface, Serhou Guirassy and Loïs Openda each joined the top German competition this summer. If they continue to do so for the rest of the season, they may not warm up much at their new clubs.
In the current Bundesliga season, several goal scorers are doing exceptionally well. The trio of Victor Boniface, Serhou Guirassy and Loïs Openda each joined the top German competition this summer. If they continue to do so for the rest of the season, they may not warm up much at their new clubs.
Victor Boniface
Although Boniface is statistically the weakest of this trio of strikers, having scored 8 goals and set up 5 more this league season, he is probably the hottest commodity on the transfer market. Moreover, the 22-year-old Nigerian is also scoring goals in cups, specifically in the DFB-Pokal and Europa League, where he has 6 accurate shots in 7 games.
Moreover, Leverkusen are leading the league, having not yet found an opponent this season. Only Bayern Munich and most recently Borussia Dortmund have robbed them of points. For a signing worth less than 21 million euros, that’s very good indeed.
According to the English media, Boniface is of particular interest to local big clubs. It is therefore likely that Leverkusen will face big problems next year to keep their gem.
Serhou Guirassy
Guirassy won’t be such a hot commodity anymore, even considering his age. After all, we are talking about a 27-year-old striker that Stuttgart acquired for €9 million from Rennes. He wasn’t expected to shine like this and that could be the problem.
Journalist Florian Plettenberg has reported that Manchester United are interested in the player and are exploring potential transfer options. Guirassy can reportedly leave the German outfit for €20 million, which is certainly tempting for the Red Devils.
The Arles, France native has already scored 16 goals in the current Bundesliga campaign, only Harry Kane is better with 18. With Anthony Martial and Rasmus Hojlund not scoring goals at Old Trafford, Guirassy could be the solution for Erik ten Hag.
Loïs Openda
If the previous strikers weren’t really counted on, Openda definitely was! The Belgian speedster shone at Lens last season and RB Leipzig spent €38.5 million on this transfer.
But he is definitely paying back this investment to his new employer. He scored ten times in the Bundesliga and added four more goals in the Champions League. According to the English media, Chelsea are most interested in the 23-year-old striker. The London club made a very good deal with Leipzig this summer, buying Christopher Nkunku for 60 million, who has not yet played in a Blues jersey, but a lot is expected of him.
Openda also seems to have a big future ahead of him, so we will see how long the German outfit will keep him.
