Tuesday’s Champions League offered us a clash between Manchester City and Bayern Munich. Few people expected the away team to win, but the result surprised many.
The English team won convincingly 3: 0 and thus brings a really promising result to the rematch. However, it was not only about the City players, but also about those from Bayern.
The Bavarian team made a lot of mistakes and played with the fact that they could have been beaten. That didn’t happen in the end, but the players’ indignation after the game was visible.
Sadio Mané and Leroy Sané had an argument on the pitch and took it to the locker room. There, according to BILD, the argument escalated and Mané should have punched his teammate in the mouth.
After that, teammates reacted and separated the two. But what was the reason for the altercation? Sané complained about Mané’s onrush and shouted at him on the pitch.
The incident does not suit Bayern right now, when they are not exactly in form and are fighting for the Bundesliga title outside the Champions League, where they are certainly not guaranteed anything.
And Mané? He may well face punishment from the club, as such behaviour cannot be tolerated. Sané has a gash on his cheek, but it shouldn’t limit him in any way.
