Best ticket of all time? A lucky punter hit eighteen games and won a huge sum of money
Many sports fans like to predict the results of sporting events for the idea of getting rich or just for fun. One British fan’s life changed over the weekend when he hit eighteen matches and won nearly fifteen million Czech crowns.

Probably every punter has experienced a situation in which he was just a few steps away from the dream win, but the favourite hesitated or the last seconds decided to fail. But a lucky tipster from the UK had the opposite experience and was able to enjoy a life-changing win thanks to four matches in which the winners won their matches at the very end.
The lucky punter correctly predicted eighteen matches from England’s second and third highest competitions and from the international matches held at the weekend. This is probably the best ticket of all time, not only by the British bookmaker Ladbrokes.
The winner has earned an incredible CZK 15 million for a bet of CZK 60! At one point, it looked like the bet would not work out as the lucky winner had hoped. But miracles do happen. In four matches, the winners scored only in regulation time.
In Spain’s friendly against Albania, Dani Olmo scored in the 90th minute. Mauritania also beat Mozambique in a preliminary match with a goal in the 92nd minute. Then the teams of the lower English competition Colchester and Mansfield won with goals in the 95th minute of their respective competitions.
“Quite simply, we’ve never seen anything like it,” a representative from bookmaker Ladbrokes told The Sun. “Our brave punter certainly didn’t have any fingernails left on his hands,” he quipped. “To turn two pounds into half a million, that could be the biggest betting story of all time,” he said.
