Bayern Munich ex-president Hoeness: why would we make season tickets more expensive? Football must be for everyone
Football is a pastime that should be accessible to all. This is the motto of the German colossus Bayern Munich. Former club president Uli Hoeness explains why the club will not make season tickets more expensive.

While tickets and season tickets for the Premier League are rising to incredible heights every year, there is no financial race in the Bundesliga.
It’s not that club owners aren’t interested in making more money, but they simply care about their fans as well.
They proved this by opposing the creation of the Super League. Although German giants Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund were invited to become founding clubs, they refused to participate in the new competition in view of the opposition of their fans.
And Bayern Munich’s former president and club legend Uli Hoeness made a similar comment. Permanent tickets for the Allianz Arena can be purchased from £104, which is roughly 3059 crowns.
“We could charge more than 104 pounds. If it was 300, we would get £2 million more. But what’s £2 million to us? We don’t have our fans as cows to milk. Football has to be for everybody,” Uli Hoeness is sure.
