Bayern is not panicking after the elimination. We’ll just try to win next year, promises the legendary Oliver Kahn
Shock, surprise. Villarreal, a team from the town of the same name with about 50,000 inhabitants, managed to break through to the semi-finals of the Champions League by knocking out Bayern Munich after Juventus. However, the Bavarian side are not panicking after their early exit from the competition.

The quarter-final battles between Villarreal and Bayern Munich offered two completely different matches. In Spain, Unaia Emery’s charges presented a courageous and combative performance, created several promising chances, but converted only one.
In Munich, however, Villarreal weren’t so brave, relying on defence, playing in a cloudy block and thickening the space in front of goal. It was more or less unable to mount any counter-attacks. The only more or less successful one was not recorded until shortly before the end of the game.
Bayern created several chances in the return leg, but failed to convert them. For example, Dayot Upamecano and Thomas Müller failed to finish and could have decided the match in favour of the Bavarian giant.
“It’s disappointing, but we can’t fault the team. The players gave everything, but it is extremely difficult to break through such a defensive block. We can blame ourselves, we didn’t take our chances, but you can hardly show more will. There is no time for crying, we will try to win next year,” expressed Oliver Kahn, Bayern’s boss.
so 34-year-old coach Julian Nagelsmann has to bite another disappointment in his debut season in Munich. Bayern will have to settle for the league title at most. However, as he admitted himself, there are worse things in life and that is why he is not afraid of anything.
