Gabriel Jesus is currently enjoying life in London. And so are Arsenal fans, who have faced much ridicule for years. The Gunners have had a sensational start to the season, picking up 9 points in three rounds, and the Brazilian striker has been a big part of that.

The difference between Arsenal’s start to the season last year and this year? Like night and day. Last season, after three rounds, the Gunners were cowering in the last place of the table with a score of 0::10.

Currently, after three games in an incomplete third round, Arsenal are sunning themselves in first place with a score of 9::2. And a big contributor to that is new signing from Manchester City, Gabriel Jesus.

He has already shone in preparation, scoring against Everton, Chelsea, scoring two goals against Nuremberg and bagging a hat-trick against Sevilla. So there were high expectations for him, which he has so far lived up to.

In the first game against Crystal Palace, he didn’t make his mark, but he helped Arsenal to win 2:0.

In the second game, Jesus absolutely exploded. Against Leicester he scored two goals and assisted two more to win 4:2.

In the third game against Bournemouth, he passed the ball to Odegaard and the goal was taken away by VAR for offside. Once again he gave a very active and good performance.

Mikel Arteta can’t praise him enough, and neither can the fans. A new Jesus is on the loose in North London, aiming to take the Gunners to the Champions League. And who knows, if his form holds up, he might even take on his former Manchester side for the title.
