Are Everton’s owners resigned to relegation? Watch how Toffees fans came out last night to protest about the club not bringing in any reinforcements

Everton are currently 19th in the league table and new signings were expected to arrive in January to reverse this unfavourable trend. However, nothing of the sort happened and so the fans, after the club had not brought in any new players and instead let one of the key figures of the team leave, took to protesting outside Finch Farm, where they blocked the roads.

This was because they had been promised by the management that they would do something about the current unfavourable situation. The only change, however, is the arrival of Sean Dyche, who has come in to replace Frank Lampard. However, that is really not enough in the eyes of Toffees fans!

That’s why several fans took to the training ground last night to protest against club owner Farhad Moshiri and chairman Bill Kenwright, whom they called for the resignation of.

Moshiri, meanwhile, commented on the current situation via the Express::

“The fans are the most important part of this club. Only together can we get through this. Everton have always depended on Goodison and the 12th man. I know that without the full support of the fans we are much weaker and I will do everything I can to get the fans on our side. I’m working on it 24 hours a day.”

Within a few months, the second very important player of the team has left. In the summer, striker Richarlison left for Tottenham for 58 million euros and now winger Anthony Gordon left for Newcastle in January for 45.6 million euros.

Meanwhile, shortly after the arrival of new coach Dyche, Everton offered £45 million for midfielder Conor Gallagher. Chelsea would probably have nodded to the offer, but the player himself was against it.

Dyche reportedly had names like Andre Ayew, Ismaila Sarr and Olivier Giroud on his list, but none of those names strengthened the Toffees and the experienced English coach will have to make do with what he has.

However, it must be added that Everton still have a very good squad, currently the 13th most valuable in the Premier League. Moreover, Dyche has a lot of experience in rescue. After all, he managed to keep Burnley in England’s top competition since 2016 until last year. In doing so, he also had one look at the Europa League.

At the same time, he has already had a few relegations. So this tough guy definitely knows what it takes and won’t cry over the fact that the management hasn’t brought in any reinforcements. After all, he still has a better team than he has ever had in the past.
