Another Chelsea loss. After a mediocre performance, takes a point from Brighton

Chelsea did not make it through Tuesday’s Premier League match against Brighton and after a 1-1 draw did not get much closer to first-placed Manchester City. Hakim Ziyech opened the scoring and Adam Webster equalised after the change of sides.
The home side opened the scoring in the third minute, but Jakub Moder shot inaccurately from a good position after Danny Welbeck’s cross. Brighton continued to play an active game, with Chelsea responding in the 15th minute.
But César Azpilicueta’s attempt did not do much for goalkeeper Roberto Sanchez. By the 28th minute, the visiting fans were already celebrating. Hakim Ziyech hit the near post from outside the box, but Sanchez certainly didn’t have a clear conscience.
The goal kicked the Blues into gear, five minutes later Sanchez had to clear a Marcos Alonso centre, the subsequent shot was already off target. At the very end of the first half, Callum Hudson-Odoi burned a great chance and the score was 0:1.
A very active start to the second half led to a great chance for Alexis Mac Allister, but Kepa Arrizabalaga made a good save. One minute later, the score was changed.
The centre from the corner landed on the head of Adam Webster, who sent it under the crossbar with a fierce shot. Suddenly the field was full of players in blue and white jerseys, if it wasn’t for a bad handling, Neal Maupay had another chance in the 68th minute.
The rest of the game was an up, down run with a lot of inaccuracies on both sides. Brighton were looking for the decisive goal, but chances were thrown away and the game ended in a 1-1 draw.
