And it’s official! After all the speculation, Cristiano Ronaldo is moving to the club that was most interested in him, Al-Nassr of Saudi Arabia. How long has he signed for and how much will he earn?

He waited a long time for offers from big European clubs, but none of them actually came. It’s no secret that after leaving Manchester United, Ronaldo wanted to make an appearance at the recent World Cup in Qatar.

But that didn’t work out to his liking. Although he captained Portugal in all three of their regular group matches, it was certainly nothing dazzling in terms of game performance.

And speaking of numbers – Ronaldo logged 88, 82 and 65 minutes respectively. In the knockout stage, however, he only played 16 minutes against Switzerland and 39 against Morocco. However, no bidder has come forward to offer CR7 the Champions League.

So the Portuguese star had no choice but to accept the offer from Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr.

According to a respected and trusted journalist Fabrizio Romano, Ronaldo has signed a contract with this club until 2025. And his earnings? The 37-year-old Portuguese is expected to earn a whopping €200 million a year!

In this case, it will be the biggest salary in the history of football. In our currency, Ronaldo will earn 4.8 billion crowns a year.

“I want to experience a new football league in another country. The vision of Al-Nasser is very inspiring,” Ronaldo said in his official statement, which you can see in Arabic above.

“This is more than making history. This transfer not only motivates our club to achieve even greater success, but it also motivates our league, our nation and the future generations, boys and girls, to be the best they can be,” said Al-Nassr president Musli Al-Muammar.

But Ronaldo will not be the only well-known figure in the squad. Previously, Colombian goalkeeper David Ospina, Cameroon captain Vincent Aboubakar and former Bayern midfielder Luiz Gustavo have all joined Al-Nassr.
