The Chambéry native made his way from his native Grenoble via Tours to Montpellier, whom he helped to a surprise 21-goal title in the 2011/12 season and secured himself a transfer to Arsenal.
Giroud donned the Gunners jersey for five-and-a-half years but failed to achieve any significant success, contributing to only three English Cup and Super Cup triumphs.
In January 2018, the French striker moved to city rivals Chelsea, where he mostly featured as a substitute, yet he contributed significantly to the triumph in the Europa League and last season also in the Champions League.
He scored 39 goals in 119 games during his three-year stint with the Blues. He scored a total of 11 times last season.
The experienced goalscorer is the fourth summer signing for AC Milan. Previously, the Italian team secured the services of Tomori, Maignalo and Tonali.
“ My ambition is to win trophies. That’s why I chose this club. I am a sportsman, I want to win again and again.”
