AC Milan are ready to sell Divock Origi. He hasn’t impressed in a red and black jersey, for how much can he leave?
Belgian striker Divock Origi has hardly caught on after his transfer from Liverpool to AC Milan. In 25 competitive games he has scored only two goals and it is no wonder that AC management is ready to sell the recent signing.
Belgian striker Divock Origi has hardly caught on after his transfer from Liverpool to AC Milan. In 25 competitive matches he has scored only two goals and it is no wonder that AC management is ready to sell the recent signing.
On Friday, March 24, the well-known football website Football Italia came up with the information that AC Milan management is willing to sell summer signing Divock Origi.
The Rossoneri acquired him as a free agent from Liverpool last July, but the 27-year-old forward failed to make a mark in the red and black jersey.
Origi has so far started 25 competitive matches in which he has scored only two goals, plus one assist. He has scored 41 goals in 175 games for the English side, some of which were decisive goals.
For example, in Liverpool’s return to the Champions League against Barcelona or in the crucial win over Tottenham in the Premier League title chase.
However, Origi was unable to transfer this performance to Milan. He could have added another goal in an AC jersey in the recent Champions League eight-final also against Spurs, but he threw away a huge chance to score.
Thus, although Origi has not become a coveted offensive reinforcement for AC, Italian journalist Daniele Longo reports that the Rossoneri’s sporting department is convinced of the rightness of the summer purchase.
However, as we write above, the performance in the service of the Milanese outfit has been miserable indeed. That’s why AC are willing to sell Origi.
As far as the transfer sum is concerned, the Milanese would like to sell Origi for €15 million. Such an amount would also be said to be appropriate in order to complete the transfer quickly and bring money into the club’s coffers.
